What Is Consciousness?
Consciousness is another name for Awareness. What does it feel like to be conscious? For me it is an ability to look around and take in the environment with no thought, no interpretation and no preconception while at the same time having access to all of the wisdom and experience that I have accumulated. Seeing is fresh and unobstructed. And responsiveness is appropriate, spontaneous, natural and full of Love. Love with a capital L is a Love that is supremely benevolent, clear and free. There are no strings attached and among its priorities is to do no harm. From this clear, open, free, spacious present, we are able to respond lovingly, effectively and creatively to any situation, whether with our lover, our child, our colleague or someone who holds a position of authority. From this place we naturally express what is good, true and beautiful regardless of our culture, religion or language. We are aware of surface differences while opening to our sameness through the subtle fields of dreams, emotions, visions, thoughts and archetypes. Eventually we see the whole world as ours to nourish and hold. Deeper still we access our Awareness of Awareness, that spacious everpresent I Amness that is both infinite and eternal, full and free, everywhere and nowhere, the place where All comes together, lives, and dissolves in Love. And we are That.
Who would not want to live in this place? Amazingly, we function well from this place. The functioning is different because it is not centered in I-ness or in the brain or thoughts. Instead the functioning functions via Awareness which is now in the driver’s seat. Awareness decides; and you dissolve into Awareness. Life lives itself as itself through all beings and you are one of the many that Awareness lives through. Then you identify with that Awareness living itself as every One.
As facilitator, I combine the latest methods, practices, theories and philosophies with ancient human wisdom and modern practicality to offer the best of what we know in human development, communication, relational capacity and self-realization in service to the world. I constantly release any agenda and encourage my clients to do the same. Through directed conscious breathing most individuals can easily and quickly access a state empty of thought and filled with Awareness. We presence your concrete, subtle and causal potential and develop the conditions that allow your long term desire to come to fruition. We become aware of the unconditioned here and now of clear Awareness. We surrender to it and discover it as our own divine nature that is always already present, located throughout the whole bodymind/kosmos. It is actually very simple.
“Venita is a remarkably skilled woman, able to hold both process and content in balanced perspective and to work with each in ways that seem organic and appropriate. This ability not only to “hold space” but also to shape it by bringing constituent parts together in ways that resolve differences and create new futures that were not possible before, makes her an invaluable addition to any group. Again, she not only brings a vast knowledge base, but also a personal style that allows each person to find their own center and act from those deep capacities found there.”
